Senior Meals

Senior Centers are closed. Current older adult participants will be contacted and provided information regarding meal distribution at the dining centers beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. Home delivered meals will continue to be delivered as usual.

Packaged or frozen foods will be distributed for pickup at regular meal sites. Department of Aging is currently working with partners to provide a home delivery service for the meals previously served at dining centers.

Please send a caregiver, friend or family member under age 65 to pick up your meals, as the Governor’s Office has asked those ages 65+ to isolate themselves at home to prevent coronavirus exposure. LAUSD Meals

LAUSD has opened Grab & Go Food Centers starting yesterday. The locations will be staffed weekdays from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. Each child can take home two nutritious meals. The centers in our area are:

WIC Services

WIC clinics under South Los Angeles Health Projects, PHFE, Watts Health Foundation, Pasadena, Long Beach, Antelope Valley, and Northeast Valley Health Corporation will remain open. WIC offices will remotely be issuing participants food benefits onto their WIC cards to avoid families from going out. Domestic Violence

If you are concerned about being quarantined in an unsafe home situation or need help, all DV shelter resources are generally available on: domesticshelters.org. The National Domestic Violence Hotline is also available 24/7 at 1-800-799-7233 (SAFE) or 1-800-787-3223 (TTY)

Child Support Services

All Los Angeles County Child Support Services (CSS) locations are closed to the public effective Monday, March 16th until further notice.

Parking Enforcement

  • LADOT is only relaxing enforcement of street sweeping restrictions in residential areas and around closed schools (to help during meal pick up)
  • Citations issued on 3/16 (one day before the Mayor’s announcement) that meet these criteria will be immediately waived
  • Through 3/31, LADOT will not ticket and tow abandoned vehicles or oversized vehicle overnight parking fines
  • LADOT will continue enforcing parking restrictions that prioritize health, safety, and emergency access — including colored curbs, street sweeping around encampments, peak-hour restrictions, and repaving and slurry operations.

Digital Library Card

While all of LA County Library locations are currently closed, and in an effort to make access to all of the Library’s digital resources more easily available to LA County residents, including those who do not currently have a library card, LA County Library is offering a temporary digital card, valid for 90 days.
