Teresa Jasso

My name is Teresa Jasso and I am a long time Watts resident. I have lived and served in the Jordan Downs Housing Projects and Watts community for over 20 years. I see the needs of the community and it encourages me to work harder and learn more to uplift my beloved community. My children and I believe change is on the horizon and would love to be a part of the transformations on the way to ensure the community’s voice is at the forefront. We need a representative to cover this large area and I am honored to step up to the plate. I <3Watts!!!

Alleys paved, gated several alleys, four way stop signs at intersection near school in my area.Help Church put outside lights for security with DWP Program.

My Mission is to Restore Revive and Produce Results for my Community, by connecting the gap that my separates our ethnic backgrounds I will encourage our community to bind together in unity and put aside our differences and help eachother in these hard times.

I love my community the diversity amounngst all during the lockdown bringing people closer together is beautiful sight and I have experienced greatness within a city considered “dangerous” I love our police department and how they are connected to community as well. I want do so much to push Latino community to do more from there part.

I was born and raised in Watts, where I lived in the Jordan Downs Housing Projects for over 40 years. I have family and friends in all 4 of the major housing developments. I have worked and volunteered at the Watts Labor Community Action Committee for over 20 years and I am currently a subcontractor in Watts as an Irrigation Specialist. The community of Watts have given and helped me in so many ways, and this is another opportunity to give back and help in return.

Laisa Chica Caldwell

I’m running for Education Representative ,I have served on several SSC in the Watts area am currently a parent ambassador for SOAR program that enrolling youth who live in the Housing Authority Developments in college. I’m a gang prevention case manager in the Watts area as well as the vice president of the RAC board. I have four children and a foster mother of three my eldest children graduated from Crenshaw High School and now attend Cal State Long Beach for higher education. It will be and honor to sever on the WNC as the Education Representative.

Huston Holley III

I was born and raised in the streets of Watts. My family has 5 generations that’s still here. I love my community through the good, bad and the ugly it made me the man I am today. I graduated from verbum dei high school. Verb is one of the reason I made it as a young man this school open my mind up to the rest of the world. I would to start partnering with other companies to bring training , resources, jobs, businesses and opportunities to my community. I believe in my heart with the right resources and training we can give the watts community what it is OWED to flourish and thrive

Ariel Gonzalez

My name is Ariel Gonzalez, I am a twenty-two-year-old Hispanic female who grew up in the Watts community. I graduated from King Drew Medical Magnet High School, attended Mount Saint Marys University, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development. I am currently employed by the Watts Labor Community Action Committee as a Case Manager for the Department of Family Services. My goal is to assist the Watts community residence in accessing the health resources that are offered such as mental health, Covid-19 outreach, medical insurance, etc. This is our community and it’s our responsibility to improve the quality of life for the residence of the Watts community.

Jonnetta L. Woods

My name is Jonnetta L. Woods and I am a longtime Watts stakeholder who proudly represents my community wherever I go and would love to assist the WNC in reaching more of our residents and their concerns. I can be found @the Parents of Watts where I am helping my fellow community members with our variety of activities, programs and giveaways. My passion is people and I am known to go above and beyond to advocate for anyone who calls the office or walk through the doors. I have acquired a specific skillset, love for ALL people and a keen sense to identify individuals/companies who talk but do NOT want to do the work for (THE WHOLE OF WATTS) community. My name is Ronald Preyer and I’ve been working in Watts here at WLCAC for over 10 years. I’ve been privileged to work with great people as a production manager hosting numerous community events of all kinds. Through learning and understanding the true history of Watts, working with so many community leaders and different organizations that have hosted here at WLCAC I developed a passion to advocate for community and the people of the community. Watts has a rich history and very skillful talented people here. I’m very passionate in speaking truth to power , and advocating for the betterment of the community and its needs.
