Urbanize Los Angeles reported on February 6, 2020 that developer Thomas Safran & Associates who submitted plans for a mixed use development next to the 103rd Street/ Watts Towers Station four months ago, has submitted a proposal for an additional project adjacent to the first one.
The new project would be a four-story building with 38 apartments for low and moderate income residents. By comparison, the first project is planned to be five-stories with 87 apartments, with ground floor retail space. 27 of the 87 would be low income units. They have a plan to build four buildings in total with 196 units.
